“A little corner of South India,
slow-cooked in Oud Metha.”

Crisp dosas, cloud-soft idlis, coastal curries and strong filter coffee. Cooked fresh and served with love.

Our story · ನಮ್ಮ ಕಥೆ

Dakshin Corner is a love letter to South India.
To its darshinis and tiffin rooms, its filter coffee mornings, its unhurried conversations over one more dosa.

The open kitchen at Dakshin Corner

Step in and you'll hear it before you taste it. The sizzle of batter meeting a hot cast-iron tawa, orders called out over the counter, tables of friends who came for breakfast and stayed till lunch. It's a small space in Oud Metha, and that's the point. This is how the old tiffin rooms of South India feel.

The sambar is made every morning. The coffee is decocted, never instant. Nothing leaves the kitchen that we wouldn't serve at home, because for most of our regulars, this is home.

The hands behind the tawa

Cooked by hands that know the tawa

Our head chef runs the kitchen the way a corner cafe should be run: batter fermented just so, ghee measured by instinct, and a tawa that never gets a day off. Every order is his to get right, and he does.

Around him is a small team that greets regulars by name and remembers how strong you like your coffee. That's not a service standard, it's just how a corner cafe should be.
